SUBMISSIONS OPEN FOR ISSUE #10: “THERE’S NOTHING IN MY DREAMS”

Submissions are now officially open for the tenth edition of Purgatory Magazine: “There’s Nothing In My Dreams.”
For this edition, we are exploring the topic of dreams, or rather, the absence of them. “Dreams are the touchstones of our characters”, or so says Henry David Thoreau. But what happens when there’s nothing in our dreams? When they are hollow and empty? When, at night, there is nothing, not even a little puppy coming to you?
That’s what we at Purgatory Magazine want to find out.
We are seeking texts and artworks that explore empty dreamscapes, antitheses to hope and aspiration, art that defies creativity. And we want to ask if even in the absence of dreams, is it still possible to find the indomitable human spirit?
We accept written submissions and artworks of all kinds, suitable for a print edition. For texts, we have a word limit of 2,500 words.
Our tenth issue will be released in December, with a release party planned for mid-month (Berlin). More info TBA.
Send your submissions to skaerselden@gmail.com by November 16 at the latest.
