Purgatory Magazine is a Berlin-based magazine for independent, experimental, outsider and underground art and writing. We do not care where you went to school – we want to hear your original voice. Purgatory Magazine aims to create living culture for writers and artists, both locally and internationally, outside of the mainstream and outside of academia. Besides publishing an online and print magazine, we also organise parties, performances, and concerts. Purgatory Magazine is not about fulfilling expectations, no matter how reasonable those expectations might be. It is not a magazine by or for robots. Art is life and life is now! Thrust in thy sickle and reap… for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
